STYLE GUIDELINES
This beer is being evaluated as a Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer (30A) with the Imperial Stout (20C) as the base style in the context of the 2015 Beer Style Guidelines of the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP). The most current version of the guidelines can be found on the BJCP website.
TASTING NOTES
Fluffo Sando pours a dark reddish-brown liquid that appears almost as black, with a thin light brown head. The nose diffuses instantly delectable aromas of cookies and cream, vanilla ice cream, and hints of coconut. It seems the aroma profile was influenced largely by the vanilla used. The mouthfeel of the beer is medium- to full-bodied, characterized by notes of vanilla, chocolate syrup, cookies and cream ice cream, and peanut butter. A similar profile lingers after a sip.
THE VERDICT
Overall, Fluffo Sando is an amazing and enjoyable treat. We are curious about how a sessionable variant of this would turn out.
