TASTING NOTES
Gold Rush is a clear dark amber beer with a beige-colored head. The nose is composed of ripe apples, toffee, and caramel notes. Flavors of toffee, toasted caramel, lime citrus, and some maltiness come forward. These are followed by some pine hop bitterness to contrast and then concludes with a lingering finish of toast-like maltiness.
THE VERDICT
Gold Rush stays true to what a California Common ought to be– a refreshing, tasty, and sessionable beer that strikes the balance between malt and hop-driven characteristics.
