TASTING NOTES
Semi-hazy pink with orange hues; foamy white head. Alluring ripe cherries on the nose, almost like perfume. Medium-bodied; moderately-low carbonation. The flavor profile is in theme: mildly-sweet red cherries blend with approachable sourness. A light bready character serves as a flavor base. The palate is left dry, calling back the noted cherry and bready qualities.
THE VERDICT
Tony definitely loves his pink beers. This cherry Berliner Weisse is on the sweeter side of the spectrum but still has some of the sourness and bready character the base style is known for. It is also quite drinkable and refreshing– qualities we think are very important for these kinds of beers. While the appearance and the aroma are appealing aspects of this beer, we think more carbonation would be more appropriate for the next versions. Overall, very good.
