Straight out of Richmond, Virginia is this chocolate milk stout brewed by The Veil Brewing Co. This Double Stuffed Oreo & Cinnamon version of Hornswoggler was conditioned on tons of Double Stuffed Oreo cookies and a dash of cinnamon.

TASTING NOTES
Hornswoggler pours deep brown almost black. The initial pour reveals a fascinating foamy dark brown head but flats out immediately. The nose is characterized by lightly smoked wood, tobacco, Mexican hot chocolate, Oreo crust, and some cherries.
This Oreo-condition sweet stout is full-bodied with a syrupy mouthfeel. The Oreos seemed to contribute to that chewy and powdery mouthfeel as well. It is akin to drinking milk with Oreo crumbs soaked in it. Carbonation is notably very low. Flavor-wise, Hornswoggler is quite sweet: chocolate syrup, cookie and cream, and light malts. An evident smoky character is also noted. This smoky character continues in the aftertaste together with sweet chocolate syrup, tobacco, and more Oreos.
THE VERDICT
You will definitely get Oreos from this but not much of the cinnamon mentioned, which may be a good thing for others. However, we think this beer could be improved further with more carbonation and less or none of the smoky and tobacco characters in the aroma and flavor. Nonetheless, this Double Stuffed Oreo & Cinnamon Hornswoggler is a sweet treat to satisfy those dessert stout cravings.
