TASTING NOTES
Citra Ass Down poured is a hazy yellow-orange beer. We think oats were used to make this beer cloudy and have contributed to its medium body. The nose evoked notes of sweet mangoes, melons, and fresh vegetables. Meanwhile, the palate opens up with a mosaic of yuzu, lychees, candle wax, and bread. Oranges leave a lingering impression.
THE VERDICT
Overall, Citra Ass Down is a refreshing juicy IPA that aims to showcase citrus and tropical fruit profiles. We also think this is one of the best can designs we have seen in the country this year. However, while the hop bitterness was kept at bay, we think there is room for more citrus flavors such as pineapples and oranges in this beer.
