TASTING NOTES
Hazy straw; white head with fair retention. Moderate ripe pineapple and lemon peel dominated the aroma with some floral and subtle oaty malt to add complexity. Medium-bodied;medium-low carbonation. Flavor profile mirrored the aroma with fairly high impressions of ripe pineapple, lemon peel, subtle resin. Supportive oaty, wheat bread malt backbone was noted. Moderate bitterness; very low sweetness/quite dry. Concluded with lingering resin, oat, and bitterness.
THE VERDICT
Spirit Visions is a dry yet flavorful Hazy IPA by the Nederland-based brewery. Malt profile was distinct, which was noted to be a medley of oats and wheat bread, without overshadowing the vibrant hop qualities. We found this beer to be an easy-drinking one due largely to its moderate bitterness and dryness. We could imagine this beer having more bursting aromas if served on tap; but, overall, Spirit Visions to us is an excellent take on the style.
