TASTING NOTES
Clear pale straw, white head with excellent retention. Moderate grainy malt aroma on the nose, supported hints of honey and herbs. Medium-bodied; moderate carbonation. The grainy malty aroma translated into the flavor also at a medium intensity. This was supported by light malty honey and an herbal-floral accent. Clean fermentation/no esters. Medium-low bitterness; very low to almost no residual sweetness; finished with malty honey and bready impressions.
THE VERDICT
Hell is a crisp thirst-quencher with a distinct grainy malt backbone. Noble hops were evident in both aroma and flavor, but more of that distinct spicy hop character could elevate further this beer. An easy pick-me-up; Hell, in our opinion, is an excellent take on the style.
